Hack for Earth at SDG Summit in New York
Hack for Earth will join the SDG Summit and the Climate Week in New York City, to engage and connect with relevant stakeholders for the upcoming global hackathon Hack for Earth at COP28.
The 2023 SDG Summit will take place on 18-19 September 2023 in New York. It will mark the beginning of a new phase of accelerated progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals with high-level political guidance on transformative and accelerated actions leading up to 2030.
Convened by the President of the General Assembly, the Summit will mark the half-way point to the deadline set for achieving the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The SDG Summit will be the centerpiece of the High-level Week of the General Assembly. It will respond to the impact of multiple and interlocking crises facing the world and is expected to reignite a sense of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm for the 2030 Agenda.
At the SDG Summit, Hack for Earth CEO Ann Molin and COO Love Dager, will join the UNFCCC Climate Change Global Innovation Hub Second Systemic Workshop on Sustainable Cities. Schedule is being updated, check back for more information!
Climate Week NYC is the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together some 400 events and activities across the City of New York – in person, hybrid and online. Each year, business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world, gather to drive the transition, speed up progress, and champion change that is already happening.
This year Climate Week NYC will be held from September 17-24, 2023. The event takes place every year in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York. Hack for Earth Foundation will be there to connect with relevant stakeholders, for the upcoming global hackathon Hack for Earth at COP28.
The Winners of Hack for Earth in 2022, SmallSmallBIG, will join Hack for Earth representatives in New York in September, to showcase how their winning solution is already making waves globally for a more sustainable energy consumption - after just a few months in the Build for Earth acceleration program.
